Welcome!
The mission of the Bach Academy is to nurture children in the appreciation of the music, life, and times of the great composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
Begun in 2006, the Academy is open to all students who have an interest in learning about Bach’s music and life.
Bach Academy 2007 included a staff of four instructors and two full time volunteer assistants and forty-five students, ages eight through fourteen, from diverse backgrounds throughout Santa Cruz County. Musician and non-musicians alike were welcomed, and no student was turned away for lack of funds – we gave 3 full scholarships and 4 partial scholarships.
